Robotic society (people becoming like robots)

I thought of this today, that people more and more become like robots.
Doing the same routine all day long, all week, obeying the rules (if you don't then you're no robot. True story.) of... well, traffic is what I mostly thought of.

When loads of people just stand there in front of the red man, waiting for the green man to take his place and indicate that it's okay to walk.
When the green man arrives, the power turns on and people walk across the street.

Sitting on the bus; looking out the window, reading a book, a magazine, a newspaper.
Listening to music through your earphones from your brand new Android phone or iPod.
Getting off as soon as it's your station and when the bus doors open.

Doing all of these things automatically like robots do.
We more and more want to look like robots, too.
We inject huge amounts of botox, whiten our teeth, make our breasts bigger, make our bottoms smaller.
Anything to prevent aging and fattening. Just like robots. Because they don't age nor do they get bigger or smaller.

What happened to the spontaneous, non-fixated people?
Is everything really supposed to be perfect?
